In July 2006 I started knitting on a bolero (Drops 86-36) and I knitted a little bit more than a sleeve. I really don’t like seaming so this is not the best construction for a shrug/bolero. Why knit the sleeves flat when you can knit them in the round?
Since last summer I’ve had plans to knit a shrug with long sleeves and ribbing around the body. I brought the UFO on vacation and realized it had the same gauge as the Two-tone ribbed shrug from Stefanie Japel’s Fitted Knits. So I cast on and since then I’ve knit it to the underarms twice. The first was too big. I’m gonna make this with long sleeves or at least to the elbow but I’m definitely making another one of these in Garnstudio alpaca. I’ve got some leftovers from the pink cardigan.
